Continue to the games room and play cards, do a puzzle, or enjoy board games while watching your 75-inch TV with a sound bar and have a drink from the wet bar. Enter the screened-in porch, leading off the kitchen, to lounge and take in the views while preparing dinner on the 6-burner BBQ. Outside, the property has everything you need to enjoy the lake lifestyle. A separate 3-season bunkie provides additional living space for your guests with a queen mattress and full bathroom (compost toilet). The spacious dock reaches into 9 feet of clear water (lake levels vary with the season), ideal for swimming or docking boats, with space for 2-3 vessels and a public boat launch nearby. This unique property offers complete privacy on its 5-acre island, with vehicle access via a private gated bridge rated for up to 20 tonnes. Nearby are the villages of Fort Irwin, Eagle Lake, and West Guilford, each with its own Country Market, with Haliburton Village and Minden just beyond. Fifteen minutes away is Sir Sam’s Resort and Ski Hill, where guests can enjoy year-round dining, cozy après-ski drinks, and hiking, skiing, and snowboarding, depending on the season. Haliburton Forest is just 20 minutes away, offering trails for hiking, biking, snowmobiling, cross-country skiing, and dog sledding, or visit the famous Wolf Centre. The network of extensive snowmobile trails runs across Redstone Lake and can be easily accessed from the cottage. Nearby attractions include the Haliburton School of Art + Design with course offerings and an outdoor sculpture walk. Around the area, enjoy a variety of local dining favourites, including Rhubarb Restaurant, Pepper Mill Steak House, McKecks Pub, Kozy Korner, Hook Line and Sinker, or Juna Italian Restaurant. Haliburton and Minden hold a variety of events, including summer food markets, art fairs, outdoor entertainment, concerts, and plays, as well as sporting events. For something special, we can arrange for a private chef or yoga classes on-site, subject to availability, and both floatplane and helicopter arrivals can be accommodated (all for an extra charge).
